Originally assembled during the early COVID pandemic, this new collection of tunes from the Ridgewood crew have expanded through refined ideas, tighter production techniques and acute empathy for an unprecedented world. When everything feels so hopeless, where does art exist? Is there a space for electronic music? For raving? The artists of “Stray Observations Volume 3” don’t necessarily answer these age-old queries directly but lend different moods, environments and places to ponder these thoughts. From bouncing three-movement tech house to Aphex Twin downtempo worship, this compilation offers the spectrum of emotions and thoughts splintering out from the contemporary mind.
